MeisterBrew (138), Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA Apr 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is light... fruity hops with a hint of grass. Taste is light for an IPA. Starts out decent with a nice hoppy flavor with an undertone of sweet malt. The aftertaste is not pleasant though. An unnatural bitterness that didn’t seem to taste right. Not a horrible IPA by any means. Just wouldn’t be the first one I would reach for from the cooler. yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Apr 10, 2009 Fresh and clean. Aroma of cascade hops and sweet malts. Taste is sweet and hops linger a bit. Well made and very consistent. MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland Apr 10, 2009 Grassy and hoppy ipa with a rather dry earthy taste. Didn’t care much for it, just not too much going on with this one plus there was some unpleasant taste lurking in the background reminding me of carpet cleaner. I wonder if this was gone off or something. Jonte (801), Gothenburg, Sweden Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Amber/dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma: Tropical fruit, dried fruits, bisquity malt, light hops, citrus. Taste: Tropical fruit, citrus, toffee, grain, bisquity malt, menthol, a bit salty. Not very bitter or grapefruity at first, but bitterness and grape grows in the finish. Medium body and light carbonation. BillKismet (1899), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 7, 2009 Bronze with consistent carbonated bubbles feeding a thin, but resilient head. Floral hop aroma with slices of peach and apricot, and orange marmalade with a deep musk overhang, then a last dash of grapefruit and catbox. Easy hop flavor with a sold malt backbone. This one has been fridged for a year, so that may have subdued the hops a bit. Well balanced, with a mild refrain of bitterness. mistersinalin (367), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 4, 2009 With a super large I-P-A on the front of the bottle, I expected to be wowed. This is a fair IPA with a little bit of a dirty after-taste to it. Great color, okay balance, but need more of a hop presence. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2009 Copper color. Citrus and sweet caramel balance. Nothing over the top. Good balance. Borresteijn (1349), Amstelveen, Netherlands Mar 25, 2009 Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear amber colour, light orange white head. Sweet fruity and hoppy grapefruit aroma. Flavour is fruity, citrus, grapefruit, a bit of caramel, dry hoppy bitter finish. A bit less than medium bodied. A nice "light" IPA.
