brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Feb 12, 2009 Pours an orange color with a nice white head. Nose of floral hops, pine and citrus. The taste was nice grapefruit, hops and some caramel - a solid IPA. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Feb 11, 2009 Clear amber with nice tight head. Citrus nose with slight malt notes. Well balanced hop and malt, mainly hoppy but malt is right there maintaining a balance. Palate is full and creamy. Nice brew. jwager (10), Cary, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2009 This is a great beer! This brewery knows its stuff. The flavors of this beer jump out at you. I find myself truly enjoying every sip. About a quarter inch of head after the pour which stayed until the first sip a few minutes later. The hops were very rich . Overall this is one of my favorite beers and breweries. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 5, 2009 Purchased a single 12-oz bottle at Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear, copper-amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of both pine and citrus zest, a hint of caramel and some light spice. Taste is medium bodied, some citrus zest, a hint of grapefruit and caramel malt. Finish is slightly metallic, with a short lived, mild bitterness. fiver29 (703), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Feb 4, 2009 Bottle pours amber/light orange color with off white head. Aroma is malt and some citrus. Must not be fresh. Flavor is more of the same as the aroma. Overall just an ok ipa. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 4, 2009 On tap at the Nut House in Palo Alto. Pretty solid showing if nothing spectacular. Golden-amber appearance with white head. Piney aroma. Piney hop flavors are there, along with sweet malt and good bitterness. Medium palate. Nothing special but a nice west coast IPA overall. joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Feb 2, 2009 golden and red with mild head. flavor lacks on the malt balance, with some strong hop bitterness, lacking somewhat on the the hop flavor profile. disappointing for a west coast ipa beerfest5 (128), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA Feb 1, 2009 Very good IPA, on draught at Plan B, starting to really like this brewer and the IPA doesnt dissapoint. coppery color, almost caramel, not very hazy with an off white head that clings for awhile. typical IPA flavor of pine and citrus with just the right kick, hoppy finish that asks poitely for another mouthful.
