jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jan 30, 2009 Copper in color with a good sized white head. Aroma is of pine and citrus. Taste is of hops, caramel and toffee. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jan 27, 2009 Poured a nice rich copper color with a big fluffy white head that dissipated rather slowly. The aroma was of fresh hops; citrusy with touch of pine. The flavor starts with a bit of malt up front then the hop takes over a provides great balance. The mouthfeel is very nice. The drinkability of this one is very high as the relatively low abv makes it one easy drinker.
Tanker12 (121), USA Jan 24, 2009 This was a good, refreshing brew but the hop profile makes it fee more like an American Pale Ale and not an IPA BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 20, 2009 Brewed in the USA........ Pours a copper color with some mild carbonation and a very thin white head. Aroma of spices, hops and grapefruit. Taste is of citrus, pine needles and caramel. The mouthfeel is refreshing, but i wish it were alittle more hoppy. Overall, This was a pleasant pale ale and i would like to drink another. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Jan 17, 2009 [Bottled from Fish and beer, Copenhagen.]
Deep amber with a creamy, tan head.
Soft, grassy, smooth, hoppy aroma and flavour with light toffee.
Slightly vinous with a dry, medium bitterness. 3lewsers (2), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jan 16, 2009 12oz bottle. Good beer. Lacks a real hoppy punch, but a nice beer to have around. Pours a pretty small head. fidelis83 (707), Clinton, Iowa, USA Jan 7, 2009 Updated: Jan 16, 2009Pours a cloudy dark amber with a 2 finger buttery tan head that lasts long enough for me to research infected beers and come back to it. The atricle on infected beer said that the giant greeinsh tan chunks that are in this beer may be only precipitated proteins, but damn do they look nasty, I mean they are huge, I am used to getting occasional yeast floaties but these look like someone threw cornflakes in the beer, I am a little apprehensive but as the aroma seems normal if not a bit weak for an IPA I will soldier on. Aroma is sweet caramel, honey, a little toast, some citrus and some pine hops really weak though. Flavor is.....here it goes not turning back now...strange and weak fo an IPA. Not really in a oh my god I am drinking giant bacteria colonies kinda way...more of a really weak take on the IPA style kinda way. Caramel and toffee in the begining, then a little citrus and pine, some straw in there too. It actually seems like it may be a well rounded beer if it were doubled, good thing Maximus is up next...hope it looks better! Body is thin and somewhat under carbonated. nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jan 7, 2009 Tap at Papago. Pours a filtered copper color with a creamy off-white head. Mild with citrus and hops. Neither aggressive or ambitious. Balanced, but seemingly uninspired.
