Pours a crystal clear golden color with a nice white head that has decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is a nice mellow, not too in your face citrus hop. Very nice, but I was expecting it to be a bit larger. Flavor is orange/citrus fruit. There is a slight bitterness to it but, again...I was hoping for a bit more. Overall, this is a good beer but it’s a bit too mellow for me as an IPA. I don’t know...maybe it just me. Good beer though. Gethinbeer (1001), Nova Scotia, Canada

Great aroma of honey, spices, raisins and plenty of hops. hazy copper with a decent white frothy head. Flavour is sharp, citrus fruit and grapefruit. As i drink more I’m getting oranges and more grapefruit flavours coming through with some hops. This is a very tasty IPA, can be sharp but steels to a delicious brew. Very enjoyable IPA. The color is a hazy amber with a thin beige head. The aroma and taste are of hops. Also in the taste is a sweet malty caramel feel to it, you can also taste some citrus fruits. The finjsh is a nice bitterness of an I.P.A. Immiz182 (17), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Clear, deep amber appearance with an average size, white head and good lacing. Resinous hop aroma. Ample, sweet, caramel malt backbone allows the huge variety of hops to bounce around and develop flavors of grapefruit, orange, pine and herbs. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Bitter, lingering finish. Could be a good everyday IPA, if you like piney hops. SHANER4 (372), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2008 12 oz. bottle - Poured rich copper color with small head.
Aroma - grapefruit, lemon, light pine and subtle hops.
Flavor - tasted more malt than hops. Weak for an IPA, no hop bite??
Palate - medium mouthfeel with average carbonation. Finish is slightly dry with little aftertaste.
Overall - very drinkable and not what I would consider an IPA. For first time IPA drinkers killjoy966 (218), Washington, USA

I have always liked the copy associated with Lagunitas beers, but 43 different hops? That sounds crazy, and crazy expensive.
