Commercial Description:
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

12 oz. bottle - Poured rich copper color with small head. Aroma - grapefruit, lemon, light pine and subtle hops. Flavor - tasted more malt than hops. Weak for an IPA, no hop bite?? Palate - medium mouthfeel with average carbonation. Finish is slightly dry with little aftertaste. Overall - very drinkable and not what I would consider an IPA. For first time IPA drinkers

Had a couple pints at the King Street Bar. Kind of warm but pretty tasty. I have always liked the copy associated with Lagunitas beers, but 43 different hops? That sounds crazy, and crazy expensive.

Bottle, at breakfast, during EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Amber with a good white head that leaves lot of lace on the glass. Soft yet full bodied and tasty. Very drinkable - an approachable American IPA.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left very little lace. Very pleasnt hoppy aroma of grapefruit and pine, with more emphasis on the citrus. Some notes of malt are also present. The flavor is malt up front, albeit a bit restrained, followed by a strong dose of grapefruit and pine hops, again with more emphasis on the grapefruit. The finish is especially bitter, akin to the white pith of a grapefruit. A good IPA, but the bitterness is a bit over the top for me. This one is for the hopheads.

Bottle from total wine. Copper pour. Small white head. Hoppy aroma to say the least. Spicy and citrus notes stand out. Flavor kicks your taste buds with some pretty bitter hops. Decent malt backbone. Not bad, but a tad bitter for my preference.

(10/26/08) Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil in Brooklyn. Clear amber color with a bit of white foam. Aroma of floral hops. Sweetish flavor with some malt and bready notes at first and afterwards nice refreshing bitter hops with a bit of citric notes. A nice quaffable IPA.

12 oz bottle, pours a clear copper color with minimal head. Aroma is very intense and hoppy with a distinct fresh floral quality. Taste is overwhelmingly bitter as advertised but is also balanced out by a bit of sweetness. Palate is kind of rough given the bitterness but is very satisfying. Good option.

Huge ass hop flavor, though not nearly as much so as my beloved Maximus. Nice copper colored pour with a decent white head that sticks around and a nice bitter hop conclusion. Solid amount of malt in the finish that stays out of the way enough to keep me happy.
