Amber with a good white head that leaves lot of lace on the glass. Soft yet full bodied and tasty. Very drinkable - an approachable American IPA. beerbill (1940), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left very little lace. Very pleasnt hoppy aroma of grapefruit and pine, with more emphasis on the citrus. Some notes of malt are also present. The flavor is malt up front, albeit a bit restrained, followed by a strong dose of grapefruit and pine hops, again with more emphasis on the grapefruit. The finish is especially bitter, akin to the white pith of a grapefruit. A good IPA, but the bitterness is a bit over the top for me. This one is for the hopheads. daknole (2885), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2008 Bottle from total wine. Copper pour. Small white head. Hoppy aroma to say the least. Spicy and citrus notes stand out. Flavor kicks your taste buds with some pretty bitter hops. Decent malt backbone. Not bad, but a tad bitter for my preference. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel

Aroma of floral hops. Sweetish flavor with some malt and bready notes at first and afterwards nice refreshing bitter hops with a bit of citric notes. A nice quaffable IPA. rugbydude05 (286), Kew Gardens, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2008 12 oz bottle, pours a clear copper color with minimal head. Aroma is very intense and hoppy with a distinct fresh floral quality. Taste is overwhelmingly bitter as advertised but is also balanced out by a bit of sweetness. Palate is kind of rough given the bitterness but is very satisfying. Good option. Beardface (984), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Huge ass hop flavor, though not nearly as much so as my beloved Maximus. Nice copper colored pour with a decent white head that sticks around and a nice bitter hop conclusion. Solid amount of malt in the finish that stays out of the way enough to keep me happy. saxo (3568), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

Aroma and taste are malt, hops, flowers and fruits. walkerrosewood (8), , New York, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass. First time I was a bit shaky, it made a huge head that ran over the glass. After that smoother pours resulted in a medium head. VERY hoppy. Label says "suicidally hoppy." I’m really more of a dark beer drinker, but I thought I liked hops. This beer is too much though. All I can taste is the hops. Doesn’t sit well in my stomach.
It would probably rate really high among IPA lovers, but stout drinkers approach with caution!
