DubC5000 (195), San Diego, California, USA Jul 31, 2008 This here might be the most drinkable IPA I’ve ever had. Honey-amber in color, with a scent mostly of honey, with hints of malted grain and leafy, floral hops. Flavor is very dry, bitter and grassy, yet with touches of bread, and strangely enough, peas. That’s right. Peas. Gnarly. PolakPorter (82), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 30, 2008 Good IPA. Not great but good. There is nothing to dislike about this beer. There is a faint aroma of hops. The taste was similar. I found the flavor to be somewhat lacking. It is incredibly smooth and easy to drink. Knocking back a sixer would not be much of a challenge. If it’s available for a good price try it, if not, there are better IPAs for the money. v8powered (48), , Nevada, USA Jul 28, 2008 Very floral initial palate and smell. Slight grapefruit that discipates quickly due to slight sweeteness from the malts. The carmel flavor helps mellow the hops. Not the strongest hoppy IPA but hops are certainly evident and well balanced. One of the better IPA I enjoy on a regular basis. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Jul 27, 2008 Not very good. Fizzy and bitter taste, but not the good kind of bitterness. More of a peppery bitterness than I like. It is also kind of watery. Burnt toast malt taste does not complement the hops very well. Pretty drinkable though. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured into a pint glass and it pours an amber color. It has a very nice head that disapates about half way down the glass. It is consistant and well balanced through out. There are strong hop notes in the flavor and the aroma. The malt backbone helps mellow the hoppiness and makes it a bit sweet. It doesn’t sit well on the palate in the long run but it is good drinker none the less. sja14 (105), Ohio, USA Jul 20, 2008 Amber color with creamy off-white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma with hints of earthy and piney spice . Pretty mellow flavor with an IPA. Obvious hoppiness but really mellowed out by caramel maltiness. A nice smooth IPA that almost seems more like an Am. Pale Ale. rds (224), USA Jul 20, 2008 Updated: Sep 30, 2008Small white head sits atop a clear dark golden brew; not too strong on the hoppy side or the malt side. A real nice IPA. PhatB420 (126), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA Jul 20, 2008 Updated: May 23, 2009From standard 12oz bottle-> Nice IPA, quality beer here, great hop aftertaste like a casacade of goodness flowing through your mouth. Makes me happy.
