PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 clear light amber body with a bit of a white head. There is a typical aroma with grapefruit, lime and a bit of cherry? The flavor is a kind of grassy IPA flavor with a lingering sweetness of melon on the finish. Not too big. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 Pretty hoppy and pretentious like the label. Too much going on in this one for me to really like it. It’s solid but not exceptional. Pretty good once it warms up more toward room temp. Maybe buy again mattmc1973 (300), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Jul 6, 2008 On draught at ’Rocks’ in Chicago. Color was deep amber with frothy off-white head. Aroma VERY hoppy, strong citrus, with accents of pine, flowers, and grass. Taste was malty, with bitter hop bite and citrus. Medium mouthfeel, pretty good beer, but I’m not a huge hophead. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 5, 2008 Aroma is a strong citrus hop scent. Color is a bright golden with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is juicy and bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with what I can only describe as a juicy feel. Finish starts with a sweet malt taste that turns quickly to a citrus, little lemon and a bitter bite. In the aftertaste the citrus brightens for a moment then fads leaving you with a mild bitterness. This is a fabulous IPA, its well balanced. Nicely bitter with a good malt tone and they keep the citrus in line. johnnysmoke (53), Texas, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pours dark amber with a large head. Fresh citrus and hops are the predominate aroma. Nice amount of hops, for an IPA. Not too dominate but, a significant part of the flavor profile. badbeer (432), Iowa, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pours a pretty nice copper color with a white head with pretty nice retention. Smell is of caramel and sticky pine sap, floralness as it warms. Pine sap taste in the beginning, a little bit of biscuit in there as well. Hops are definately the lead role, piney, resinous, some citrus too. High carbonation, medium bodied. This is not the best IPA I’ve had, but it’s a damn solid one, of which I could see myself drinking plenty of. ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Jul 5, 2008 bottle thanks to metzlers in denton, tx. poured a clear amber with beige head. aroma was hoppy of course and some caramel malts. flavor was good with hops and some grassy notes. over all pretty good!! msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA Jul 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. pours clear light burnt orage with a white head. Aoma is hops pine and a little citrus and malt. Flavor is light on the complexity side. Basically hops, citrus, caramel and some pine. Mouthfeel is a bit on the watery side. Bit disapointing from a brewery that usually produces solid brews.
