Rune (2744), Tromsø, Norway Jun 10, 2008 Bottle at Zum Biergarten, Copenhagen. Thin, white bubbly head over a brown-orange body. Malt-fruity aroma. Bitter orange tones in flavour with a bitter malty ending. Moderate palate. Good drinkability, but a bit one dimensional for an IPA (30.05.2008). NMC01 (58), Denmark Jun 8, 2008 Nice IPA with a lovely malt profile. The hoppy ending is less coating and crispy that I expected for an american IPA. Rather big flaked sediment blurred this and made the appearance less nice though. Refreshing IPA with a decent - or should I say "adequate" - alcohol burden. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jun 7, 2008 sample on 6/5/08, rating from notes. pours a golden color with a decent white head. huge hop profile on the nose... a little disappointed that this didn’t carry through all the way to the finish. however, it is a solid IPA that is very drinkable - and under 6% making this a great session beer. the palate is typical of a generic American IPA. Medium body, average carbonation... and a good bitter finish. Just wish those hops came through more. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Jun 7, 2008 A mild yet tasty offering. It’s not too overwhelming that a rookie IPA drinker couldn’t handle it. Mostly sweet, with a finishing bitterness that balances everything out. Orange in color, a thin white head. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jun 6, 2008 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, yellow-orange body with a full, foamy, white head.
Smell: Pale maltiness along with notes of spice, pine, and ruby red grapefruit.
Taste: Lightly sweet pale malts with a hint of spent grain. Spicy, piney, citrusy hop flavors. Medium bitterness. A final taste of caramel. Finishes with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Just barely medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine little American IPA, it delivers pretty much what you’d expect from it. Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Jun 3, 2008 Very good IPA that seems to have both floral and pine and citrus hops to it. It is bitter enough to be an IPA but not enough to be a particulaly brutal one. Very smooth like a good bitter. Pretty simple actually, but very good none the less. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2008 The aroma is malty with caramel and pine/citrus hops. The appearance is amber with a good head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. I really like this one. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2008 decent, the malts are nice but the hops kinda fall flat which is what they wanted to go on. still its some malts character with caramel flavor. enjoyable.
