Hank1980 (734), Athens, Georgia, USA Apr 7, 2008 Updated: May 4, 2009Bottle. Pour was a deep gold. Head was beige with heavy lacing. Aroma was very big with fruit, citrus and some light pine. Taste is pretty hoppy with a decent malt backing. Some light bread flavor mixes in with the hops and malt. Overall, a pretty good balance. A good mix of hops, and a nice malt accompaniment. Finish is nicely bitter. Body is medium with a good bit of carbonation. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA Apr 6, 2008 what a great beer!!! great aroma, fantastic flavor. very citrusy/floral, almost a little grassy, but truely a great ipa. IPAsavedMYlife (32), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Apr 6, 2008 Updated: Jan 1, 2009Excellent true to character IPA. Slightly orange head, cloudy orange golden color. Smells of orange of pine. The 43 hops make this one incredibly rich. Tastes like a traditional IPA. Cheers! railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 5, 2008 This was another classic IPA and very good indeed with hints of citrus and malts and very easy to drink smooth as silk a nice frothy head and a classic look to it .CHEERS! desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Apr 4, 2008 Pours a clear, bright gold with a rocky off-white head. Aroma of mild citrusy hops. Flavor is rich but rather mild, with a thick, doughy malt bill offset by grapefruit, pine and peppery hops. Neither side of the equation dominates; this is a superbly drinkable, well-balanced beer, even if it is weak by the American IPA standard. popdoggy (100), USA Apr 3, 2008 When I saw the rating, I was shocked. This is rated rather low, but I enjoyed these.
Although the aroma was very weak, I thought that this was an excellent IPA, High in drinkability, and the hops were very apparent but not overbearing.
Hmm.... Oh well I liked this and will drink it again, and again, and then maybe again. Oscbert (531), Sacramento, California, USA Apr 3, 2008 ~Pours a see through reddish orange colour with small head.
~ Nice bitter hop scent. Floral with some sweet notes.
~ Smooth bitter taste. small bite.
~Abrupt bitter finish.
~ Enjoyable IPA, seems a bit watered down. I look forward to a long lasting bitterness from an IPA and this seems to be lacking. Still very enjoyable. k4df4l (154), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2008 Bottle pours a bright copper/light orange with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, doughy yeast and faint sweet malty note. Flavor has a moderate bitter opening followed by a nice balance of clean malt flavors and bright citrus hoppyness. Finishes slightly dry with a bit of lemon peel. Moderate carbonation and light, but not watery, mouthfeel. A nice and tasty brew on the lighter side of the typical IPA.
