DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 8, 2009** update rate ** anothe rbottle revealed the peachy tones and quite intereesting if subtle hop profile. Kinda fat but good. Uprate ** Surprisingly ordinary IPA for a West Coast legend. But good. Thin pour and light copper-orange hue, moderate fine head. Lots of hop bitter finish that is a bit one-dimensional, perhaps owing to hops shortage I mused? Good malt body. Citrusy flavors were good, I knocked this back in about five minutes at BeerBistro (at the cost of $2.00 / minute!!) 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Mar 28, 2008 a very good IPA. Pours out a coppery color with a small beige head. aroma was full of hops and grassy with a bit of sweetness to it. Flavor was very refreshing. It wasnt over the top with hops and had a nice lasting flavor to it. over all a very nice brew. HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Mar 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Strong hop aroma. Nice hop taste, nice body. Good sessioning beer. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Mar 23, 2008 This orange ale poured with a thin beige head. It’s a typical IPA, with plenty of hop bitterness and aroma and a balancing malt presence. There is some carbonation and a bit of citrus in the finish. stobbe74 (655), Denmark Mar 17, 2008 Bottle, 22 fl. oz. Pours a light amber beer, with a nice off-white head. The aroma is hops, with notes of herbs and fruits, mainly lemon. Nice hoppy flavor, with mainly american hops. The hops tastes of lemon and grapefruit. Nice mouthfeel and overall a nice american IPA. (#100) travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 14, 2008 Orangish in color with a decent head. Hoppy smell with floral and citus notes. Flavor has the same with some grassiness. The beer seemed like it was laking in something though. jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2008 Updated: May 9, 2008On Tap at Tank’s Tap Room (Carrollwood, FL). Draft pours a hazy golden orange with a decent sized foamy head. Pungent aroma of citrus, pine, and hops. Very hoppy flavor with a nice aftertaste. Subtle hints in the flavor also remind me of tea leaves. Delirium (495), Santa Cruz, California, USA Mar 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber-orange with a moderately sized and lasting white head. Aroma is fresh citrus, mainly orange. Flavor is fresh citrus up front, with moderate bitterness, moving to some sweet caramel maltiness, a bit of grassiness, and a more earthy bitter hop finish. Well balanced but still pretty hoppy. Pretty good.
