jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Feb 10, 2008 Updated: May 15, 2008On draft at McGregor’s. Gorgeous looking orange with thick creamy head. Standard full aroma of grapefruit. Very nice balanced malty and hoppy palate. Loved it. Had again at the Dinosaur with some spicy food. Worked very well with the food. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Feb 10, 2008 dark amber almost orange pour with no head just some froth. hops, hops and more hops on the nose. nice fresh hop taste with a bit of bitterness that fits quite well. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Feb 9, 2008 Bottle. Very grassy aroma, a little caramel and tobacco. Hazy copper colour, small white head. The flavour is quite hoppy, caramelly, with a rough bitterness. Not a bad beer, but rather rough, I think. stoutchap (297), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2008 A really decent IPA. Pours a coppery color with a small off-white head. A mix of citrus and floral hops in the nose. Nice mouthfeel - solid. Nice flavor profile - with a variety of hops notes. A little malt in the finish. Very drinkable. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 6, 2008 Bottle sampled. Pourscopperwith a off-white one finger head. Aroma of floraland piney hops, light caramel, and malty sweetmess. Fairly balanced flavor of pine, grapefruit, caramel malts, with a light bitterness and a dry hop finish. drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Feb 5, 2008 Great IPA! Poured with a big frothy, foamy, textured head and some lace. Very nice slightly spicy aroma with a hint of earthiness. Ditto the flavor. Very clear dark amber color. Head lasts for a while. Very long hoppy finish. Not a citrusy hop character. This is the way I prefer it. This just rearrived at the Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 4, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a nice crème head that falls but leaves lots of lace. The nose is that intense piney perfume. Flavor is hoppy, but a bit of a tart edge hits me and I can’t say I like it that much. As I dwell on it, it seems almost wood like. Interesting? Yes. My favorite? No. Feel has a slightly higher level of carbonation to it that gives a bit of a bite and the liquid is well bodied. Overall this is a nice IPA, but that slightly woody tart thing that is going on kind of knocks it down a bit in my book. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2008 12oz. Pours light, clear orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is citrusy though light, tangerines and oranges. Taste is smooth, balanced, lightly bitter. Highly drinkable though not incredibly flavorful or unique.
