Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jan 19, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color, not much of a head but has decent lacing. Aroma is more malty than hops. The mouth feel is very malty also . Not much hop bite in flavor, nor in the aftertaste. Not a great representative of an IPA compared to the other great ones out there. verymerrymonk (255), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 19, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange with a healthy off white head. Very sweet citrus up front with a mild hop finish. Pretty good beer, but not what I expect from an IPA. (Will have to try this again on a night when I haven’t already had a Hopslam.) hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jan 19, 2008 Updated: May 27, 2009gold-copper with medium orange head, leaves lacing. Citrisy and fruity hop aroma, bitter taste but not extraordinarily so for an IPA, some malt sweetness with a long dry finish. creamy mouthfeel. timfoolery (482), California, USA Jan 18, 2008 Poured a copper-orange color with medium head. Citrus flavors matched the color for a very balanced Pale. IPA’s aren’t normally my thing, but Laguinitas make a hell of a beer. It was very smooth and drinkable. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Jan 17, 2008 Pours an orange color with the smell of citrus. Although not my favorite type of beer I’ll try to be objective. Very hoppy and the taste of citrus orange was the most prevalent flavor. Very bitter, but not bad for an IPA dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Jan 16, 2008 Pours a nice copper color with a thick long lasting white head. Hop aroma just billows out of the glass, like sticking your nose in a bag of hops. A few more whiffs and I get some malty caramel notes, also. Taste is nice and hop bitter. Not a lot of malt, but enough to balance out the the powerful hops. Finishes very clean with just a touch of the hop bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable. KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jan 15, 2008 Hazy pale amber with tiny short lasting head. Hoppy aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Flavor is mild sweet with hoppy end. Thanks for sharing Joergen. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jan 14, 2008 22 oz bomber. Amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma is well-balanced. Caramelly malts with some light grapefruity hop aroma. Fruity hop flavour on the front, grapefruit and light orange/pine. Simple, fresh, tasty IPA.
