drfabulous (1212), Columbia, Missouri, USA Aug 27, 2009 Light citrus. Bitterness. Bright orange body. Overall light sweetness that lingers. Nice IPA. ononews9 (25), Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2009 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. very pleasent citrus (marmalade) aroma. a little bitter in taste, could be a little sweeter on the citrus. ljay6880 (132), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2009 12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pour is a light bronze with a small layer of quickly dissipating white head. Nose is hops, orange rinds, grass, and light caramel. Taste is Pine tar, hops, and citrus. The finish is a lingering bouquet of orange/citrus bitter. This wasn’t bad, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was a bit sweeter and had a slightly heavier body. Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Aug 26, 2009 On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a clear, copper-bronze body with a finger-width, creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of creamy lacing. Aroma is mostly a boatload of grassy citrus with a light caramel sweetness. Flavor is exactly the same. Lots of grassy citrus hops with a medium bitterness and a light caramel malt keeping this just balanced enough. More grapefruit and lemon comes in during the finish before it dries with a long lingering taste of grassy citrus. Palate is relatively thin bodied. Overall, a pretty straightforward westcoast IPA. Tons of hop flavor and just enough caramel malt to balance. Damn tasty, however, and its about time Lagunitas came to KC. DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2009 Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a plastic cup (sacrelig... I know): Copper appearance, citrusy/hoppy/piney taste. Tastes a little watered down. Needs more malts, man. BarossaLuke (88), Australia Aug 22, 2009 Light copper colour, nice fluffy white head. Fruity, citrus and slightly piney hop aroma, very nice. Light to medium bodied, with nice hop/malt balance. I expected a little more matliness though, more thickness on the palate. But a very nice, easy drinking Pale Ale. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 18, 2009 Bottle at Cropredy ... copper ... big foam head ... sweet pale ale hop nose... soft toffee ... light hop fruit ... easy. 17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2009 22oz bomber shared with funkybrewster. Pours a lovely glowing orange amber with a nice sticky white foamy froth with great sticky lacing. Mmmmm fresh! what an aroma! super green oily sticky piney resiny hop pellets, some sweet sticky rich honey and caramel just underneath, beautiful! Flavor is also quite green, hop pellets, lots of hops, soo soo green tasting, a bit herbal, some med/light toasty caramel with a very bitter finish. Medium bodied, on the thinner side though, light stickiness. The greenness is amazing in the aroma, but of course it hurts the flavor a bit.
