strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA Aug 4, 2007 Pretty tasty. Just a bit (and I mean just barely) on the watery side. I guess I look for a little more punch in my india pale ales, but the flavor is right on with the style. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 3, 2007 Orangeish amber pour with foamy offwhite head. Slightly subdued subtly sweet caramel, malt smell with a bigger note of hops come together and give it almost a candy like smell. Not quite the hop bomb in the nose I expected, but it’s different, and nice still. Taste gives a candy like malt sweetness, and some hops, but not very aggressively so. I’d say its a mild IPA bitterness wise, and this is unique, very drinkable and a great IPA that I’d have again. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Aug 1, 2007 ON tap at Lagunitas. Slightly hazy deep yellow with no head. Grapefruit aroma with hints of pine. Bright palate. Citrus and pine taste with a hint of bitterness to the finish. degrassi (30), cypress, California, USA Aug 1, 2007 Sort of an IPA light in my book. Very refreshing beer that might be a good start to those making the transition from macrobrews. A good bitterness that will not overwhelm, this is an easy drinker. TheJester (694), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 30, 2007 12 oz bottle. The usual American IPA copper-orange in colour, with a nice head, which quickly recedes to a film. Aroma is mostly of (stale?) hops - smells like the fridge at the homebrew supply store. A bit of sweet malt at first, but mostly hops. Seems to be lacking something, though. A little flat in the middle. A bit tinny at the end. Lingering bitter finish. Mouthfeel is a little slick. Nicely carbonated. Maybe I got a bad bottle. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 26, 2007 Bottle. Light unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, pine, grass, grapefruit, light malty, caramel. Flavor is is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jul 24, 2007 Bomber from Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a sparkling amber-orange with plenty of floaties and a frothy, off-white head. Fruity/citrus hops and caramel on the nose, with a nice creamy, medium-bodied mouthfeel, ending nice and bitter. Sweet caramel malts hide behind solid fruity, citrus, earthy and piny hop notes. A pleasant bitter end lingers briefly; a nice hoppy IPA. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2007 Bright orange color with an amber inner glow. Small soapy head. Nose is dry and malty. Mouthfeel is somewhat acidic and tastes of sunflower seeds, hops, and malt. Reminds me of a mouthfull of Davids’ sunflower seeds.
