| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Pours on draught a clear orange-amber, with a nice offwhite retentive head. Big floral aromas, with nice orange citrus upfront in the mouth. This is followed by solid rind and zest notes midway through, and a crisp pine needle hoppy finish. The mouthfeel is clean and almost fruity, with a medium body. Lingers appropriately, wi a nice hint of pepper in the back-palate, closing the pull very well. A nice offering. 6ROW (253), corpus christi, Texas, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Pours a dark golden color with a thick, off-white head that is very foamy and leaves nice lacing on the glass. The aroma is somewhat fruity and sweet with a hint of hops. I would have expected the hop aroma to be a little stronger in an IPA. The flavor is also only slightly hopped. It is more malty and fruity than most IPAs I have tasted. At some points it has an almost appley flavor. It’s not a bad flavor and is easy to drink because it is crisp in the mouth, but it is not what I generally expect from an IPA. Overall, this is a good beer, but it is a bit off the beaten path as far as IPAs go. It’s a little different, so as long as you are expecting that you should enjoy this beer. evergreen0199 (259), London, Greater London, England

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2009 After reading the bottle I’m excited to get this one into a glass. It pours a bright burnt orange thats very clear. The head was minimal but left amazing amoutns of sticky lace all around my glass. The aroma was hoppy but I got plenty of malt sweetness as well. The flavor was delicious. Almost perfect balance of biting hop bitterness and malt sweetness in every gulp. A vicious piney wallop hits on the finish. The beer has a medium body with mild carbonation. On par for style. I really enjoyed this beer. My tastes have started to come around to the bigger hop flavors so this was right up my alley. I can see myself picking this up again.
