Deep orange pour with a wispy off-white head. The aroma shows some mild fruitiness of oranges and a light peach touch, but the hops seem restrained. The body is light with a restrained hop character as well. Not much bitterness at all. Reminds me of a watered down, less bitter Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It seems the wide distribution has given it a "macro IPA" feel to it. Svesse (2613), Hässelby, Sweden

Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, orange and toasted grain. Malty, fruity taste with grain, caramel, orange and citrussy hops in a balanced finish. Nicely balanced IPA. Good beer. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Slightly hazy, orange amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet navel orange hops flavour has grainy bitter hops. Medium body is bitter. Wow, awesome game beer.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of beerguy101 via trade. Aroma is citrusy, but not citrus hoppy, with light caramel. Pours a transparent orange with a white head that lasts a minute or so. Light caramel up front with a slightly watery piney hop finish. Decently balanced but flavor just aren’t that strong. ChainGangGuy (2562), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, yellow-orange body with a full, foamy, white head.
Smell: Pale maltiness along with notes of spice, pine, and ruby red grapefruit.
Taste: Lightly sweet pale malts with a hint of spent grain. Spicy, piney, citrusy hop flavors. Medium bitterness. A final taste of caramel. Finishes with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Just barely medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine little American IPA, it delivers pretty much what you’d expect from it. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2005 Pours to a thick creamy, rocky white head that quickly thins to a patch head with a ring around the glass. Pretty good lacing. The body is a copper kettle color. The aroma is huge grapefruit and oranges. Aroma faded a touch, but is still fairly potent. The flavor is rich and caramely with a good bit of oranges and a light grapefruit. Appealing, but nothing spectacular. The palate is pretty good. Could be crisper. Overall, this is a good beer, but the brewer has some room for improvement. 43 hops? 65 malts? Shouldn’t this be off the hook?!?!?! dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jun 24, 2005 Smell is faint for an IPA, but the body is beautiful. The head just blends ianto the flavor, which is mildly hoppy as far as IPAs go. Truly, though, this beer is best described as delicious. A must try, especially since this is the type of IPA that can be enjoyed numerous times in one sitting. Thanks parents! pivo (2535), Germany
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2004 Fat nose of fresh west coast hops, amber color, tall tan and sticky head. Light malt body gets quickyl overpowered by a high resolution, bright hop bitterness that stays around forever. The bitterness actually seems to INCREASE after the swallow. Great effect. Smooth, crisp, excellent IPA.
