It's sweet and malty with only medium bitterness. Nicely balanced but surprisingly reserved for the style. Boutip (2385), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Bottle: Poured a clear orangey color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and lacing. Aroma of metallic hops with some caramel malt. Taste is a mix between sweet malt with some metallic hops and a bitter finish. Body is about average. Overall, this is an OK IPA but far from being great and lacking balance between malt and hops. badlizard (2372), Berkeley, California, USA

Poured deep copper color with a frothy, creamy white head. Aroma was like a pine tree. Flavor was also piney with grapefruit. The hop flavors were very present in the brew. Slight bitterness comes through in the end. Medium bodied. Very smooth and drinkable. Very well balanced. This is a nice IPA.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Clear orange-amber color with a small off-white head that recedes to a speckled, thin film. Spotty lacing. Moderate carbonation is apparent. The aroma is a very nice blend of citrus and herbal hops. Orange, grapefruit, and fresh cut grass come together well in the nose. The flavor has a toffee malt base, with a fresh and crisp grassy hop kick. There is also a little bit of a buttery flavor in the background, which is nice. This beer is very smooth and drinkable, but the hops let you know that they are there. Medium bodied with a that has just a hint of stickiness to it. Very good session IPA. drewbeerme (2302), Chicago, Illinois, USA
