It’s a little off, but still it’s a decent IPA. OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway

A slight unclear deep golden colored beer with a fully diminishing near-white head. Fresh fruity and hoppy aroma; sweet grapefruit, tangerines and tropical. Grassy, light piney hops. Notes of peppermint and sweet nutty malts.Taste is not that complex, but has fine distinct bitterness and leaves some likeable flavors of citrus and refined malts. Lasting fruity-bitter finish. Loveable.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2006 It has been a while since I have come across a moderate alcohol IPA that has been this good. Pours copper with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma has lots of hops with pine being the prevalent aspect - there is also some woody traits. Overall very floral as well. Medium body with a good amount of soft carbonation. Starts with some light malt that has pale and caramel traits and some spicy hops. The finish has lots of spicy hops with some woody hops as well. The malt is not as apparent in the finish. Very will done IPA. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2008 bottle - Pours copper with a one finger white head. It has a nice citrus hop aroma. The flavor is, as one would expect, all about the hops. There’s just a little citrus in there and some light malt. I thought it could have used a little more malt balance and a little more character. That’s a ridiculous number of different malts and hops though. It’s medium bodied and leaves the characteristic long, bitter finish of an IPA. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2004 This had a creamy eggshell white head that rode on an amber beer that was hazy and showed some yeast sediment from the disturbance of it’s bottle conditioned yeast cake.
Caramel aroma sets the stage for the big grapefruit hop that is up front.
Creamy sticky smoothness with a long bitter finish.

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Updated: Dec 31, 2007On tap at the Bocktown. Looks like the typical ubiquitous pale yellow American lager. Thin white head made of smaller creamy bubbles. Just a small amount of floral hop aroma. Again, just barely. Has an earthy hint to the taste and then the hops hit pretty hard. Decent carbonation. Lets chew on some grapefruit rinds. Another sip causes the bitterness to build but it is not tremendously offensive. Finish is long lasting medicinal bitterness on the back of your throat, typical IPA finish. Somebody give me a Old Heathen to wash this down with. I have yet to adjust to the IPA style.
