Commercial Description:
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

Clear orange red. Frothy head. Sweet hop aroma. A wet smell that’s not sticky. Soft hops upfront that provides for a wet bitter background. Some kind of tart fruit in the taste. Almost like kumquat or dry grapefruit. Finish is wetter than expected and not distastefully bitter. Better than anticipated.

12oz bottle. Orange-copper with a sticky orange head. Citrusy and resiny aroma. Quite sweet and malty with a nice balance of grapefruit leaning hops that have a little pine too. Ends bitter and refreshing. Medium body with small bubbles. Very balanced and tasty IPA, just how I like it. (3.7) Rerate: Draught at 99 Bottles. third time that I*ve had this on tap since my initial rating, and every time has been underwhelming. To thin, and the hips just feel a bit castrated. Still not one that I would turn down, but a bit below par for a Norcal IPA.

Draft @ The Cannery, San Francisco, CA. Amber. Good hop nose and flavor. Quite drinkable. A bit too one dimensional.

Cask at the Horse Brass. Faint citrus fruit aroma. Light malt flavor, with grape, honey, yeast. Reasonable hop flavor with medium bitterness. Rather bland.

Clear, amber body with a fluffy off-white head. Moderately hoppy aroma of pine, grapefruit, caramel, grains, and a touch of residual sweetness. The body is pretty damn good for an IPA. Not too thick, but not lacking in any qualities either. The flavor is good and certainly tasty. The malt is sweet and robust, with a bitter, piney flavor that makes things interesting. I could drink this with some regularity, methinks.

Pours a nice copper color with a thick long lasting white head. Hop aroma just billows out of the glass, like sticking your nose in a bag of hops. A few more whiffs and I get some malty caramel notes, also. Taste is nice and hop bitter. Not a lot of malt, but enough to balance out the the powerful hops. Finishes very clean with just a touch of the hop bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable.

Pours honey colored w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth. Aromas of citrus rind and pine w/ a slight maltiness. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Overall a very simple IPA. Very light yet w/ solid hops. Good yet not impressed.
