| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Beer pours copper color with a dense suspension of tiny yeasties throughout (I thought they were bubbles as first). Weak aroma of malt. Flavor was very hoppy with grapefruit, some earthy/herbal notes and peppery flavors. Not really much in the malt department even after it warmed...very faint caramel. I was pretty unimpressed. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2005 unlike some over the top american ipa, this is a well balanced brew. hazy orange colored appearance with yellowish head. floral aroma of grapefruit and citrus. full bodied, hoppy as should be. though i do think the 43 different hops and 65 various malt recipe is probably a commercial gimmick. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Hazy amber with an enduring off white head, nice lace, and some floaties. Honey, toffee, and light citrus aromas. Medium body, faintly resinous, light carbonation. Light sweet malty base supports a refreshing piney and bitter orange hop character. Dry, lightly bitter finish of medium duration. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 20, 2006 this is a great ipa. had it several time on draft. they used to serve it at the maritime music hall in san francisco being the only beer on draft. nice copper brown hue with tanny brawn head. nice cascadesque nose of pine and citrus. flavors explode onto the tongue with tangy bitterness. evenly balanced with maltiness. good! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Bomber from Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a sparkling amber-orange with plenty of floaties and a frothy, off-white head. Fruity/citrus hops and caramel on the nose, with a nice creamy, medium-bodied mouthfeel, ending nice and bitter. Sweet caramel malts hide behind solid fruity, citrus, earthy and piny hop notes. A pleasant bitter end lingers briefly; a nice hoppy IPA. piscator34 (1131), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2007 Amber in colour with medium carbonation. Well focused C-hop aromas of lemon, grapefruit, pine, and black pepper, along with an undercurrent of slightly sweet pale malt. Hoppy upfront in the mouth with more of the typical C-hop notes. There’s also some nice green grass and mint character too. A classy Maris Otter type malt element dries out with a long pine finish. Nothing too surprising here, but very well executed. Thanks to presario for the sample. Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 5, 2001 I had this one right after Speakeasy’s Big Daddy IPA. This is definitely not as dry and seems to tilt more towards the British style with hints of malty biscuit in the aroma and flavour. It is also a bit more full bodied and a little darker than the Big Daddy. Good hop flavour in the middle with a smooth, sweet malt finish. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Citrus and hop aroma, copper in color, white head, flavor is of grass, hop, and barely any malt. Weird finish and aftertaste, almost like what i would imagine eating flour or baking soda would taste like. Odd texture left on my tongue. Thoroughly disappointing.
