Nose is consumed by the Lagunitas yeast, which smells like brown sugar, cinnamon and cedar. Combine that with a nutty, old spiced fruit hop scent. Lacks depth. Only a small amount of fruit noticed in the finish after a rather coarse nuts and unsweet brown sugar. yngwie (4970), Kristiansand, Norway

Sweet cara-malty and slightly toasted aroma with biscuits and a delicate hoppy touch with lemon-fruity and slightly woody notes. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Aromatic and complex malt-character with notes of biscuits, caramel, licorice and subtle fruity and woody hoppy accents. Almost dry, malty finish with a good bitterness-sweetness ratio and light to moderate but aromatic hops (18.II.09). Cornfield (4942), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

The aroma is hops, predominantly pine with some grassiness and a smattering of orange. It’s well balanced, the malt half of the equation being mild and caramelly. Mildly bitter finish. More of a session APA than an IPA, really.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 13, 2004 Very hazy orange/yellow with a very light sticky head & lots of lacing. The aroma is slightly citrusy at first but fades into bland. The flavor is not very hoppy but the ending bitterness is definately apparent. This is more light & balanced than most IPAs I'm used to.
