Commercial Description:
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

The body is dark orange with a frothy white head. There are planty of bubbles coming up here. The aroma is grapefruit and some caramel. There is also an earthy cherry smell. The taste is carmel and some piney hops with a littel burnt toast. This could use a little balance. There is the very bitter hopping, then some very sweet notes. Not much in between.

On tap in Houston: Could not rate appearance since the lights were turned down for frickin low, good head though. The aroma was that of grapefruit, melons, toasted malts, and piney hops. Crisp piney taste, but well balanced IMO. Medium-bodied with a lively mouthfeel. A sure fired winner this beer is.

Purchased a single 12-oz bottle at Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear, copper-amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of both pine and citrus zest, a hint of caramel and some light spice. Taste is medium bodied, some citrus zest, a hint of grapefruit and caramel malt. Finish is slightly metallic, with a short lived, mild bitterness.

Bottled. Poured medium orange with a whole helluva lot of sediment floating around in there. Aroma picked up orange zest, floral notes, and some extra-sweet caramel. Flavor had sticky caramel, toffee, and grapefruit at the core... citrus and floral hoppage around it, and moderate bitterness through the finish. Didn’t flow too well or impress me much on the finish. Just OK.

Poured a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus grapefruity hops and fuity sweet malt underneath. Malt at front and back, before the moderate sized bitter finish, with grapefruit rind running down the center. Medium bodied. Didn’t expect this to be so good when I picked it up.

muted citrus hop fragerance. Lots of head and lace. Orange. Smooth if understated hoppy flavour, medium mouthfeel, creaminess, drying finish, and citrus aftertaste. Not bad at all
