| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2002 the six pack i had was very well carbonated. the head from a very slow easy pour down the side of the glass was stronger than the head of a root beer float, pretty damn strong! intense fruity hop aroma and intense hop bitterness in the finish. a hint of malt sneaks through but does not do much. what i will remember about this beer was the huge head, not the flavor. loweredsixth (942), Fresno, California, USA

I was a little afraid of this beer from the reviews and the fact that I do not usually like IPA’s, but I found this drink very enjoyable. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 20, 2006 this is a great ipa. had it several time on draft. they used to serve it at the maritime music hall in san francisco being the only beer on draft. nice copper brown hue with tanny brawn head. nice cascadesque nose of pine and citrus. flavors explode onto the tongue with tangy bitterness. evenly balanced with maltiness. good! axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2005 Pours a clear orange/pinkish color body with a clingy, white foam on top. Aroma was sweet citrus and piney hops. It seems that all of the hop flavors are balancing each other out. You get about a half of a second of every flavor associated with hops. Never enough of any to really make me jump but all around a very well/over balanced ipa. Great session brew! pintbypint (1025), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2006 12oz. brown bottle. Pours medium clear orange, lasting white cap, two fingers in height, leaves good lace. Grapefuit hops are present in the aroma, though light. Flavour starts with fruity malt, some sweetness, grapefruit and orange hop notes mid way through then finishes with medium grapefruit bitterness. Good session ale. kangaroo (45), Everett, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2009 A very mild aroma with grassy notes. Pours amber and leaves behind fine lacing. The taste produces citrus hops aplenty, crisp and refreshing. The malt is mild and not obtrusive leaving hops in the forefront. A nice pleasant hops bitter in the finish. Not a single off-note in this beer.
