Sweet malt, light hop floral tone also noticed, quite sniffable, sweet malt start, the top moderate in feel. Finish has a definite acidic bite, the hops potent in their spicy bite, dry and long lasting aftertaste. A great beer from a great brewery got a couple of its bigger brother aging away, and that would be “Maximus”!

Good, but I found it a little thin in body for the hopping level and a little heavy in the bittering hops compared to the flavor/aroma hops. I’m nitpicking here, this is a good IPA, just a notch below sweetwater and the sublime bell’s two hearted. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA

Alhough balanced a bit on the hops side, this not a problem at all - the interesting malt flavors are there to enjoy. A very good IPA. 211Gramma99 (38), Chico, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2002 the six pack i had was very well carbonated. the head from a very slow easy pour down the side of the glass was stronger than the head of a root beer float, pretty damn strong! intense fruity hop aroma and intense hop bitterness in the finish. a hint of malt sneaks through but does not do much. what i will remember about this beer was the huge head, not the flavor. loweredsixth (943), Fresno, California, USA

I was a little afraid of this beer from the reviews and the fact that I do not usually like IPA’s, but I found this drink very enjoyable. wilkie (1193), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Aroma is very hoppy, with a bit of pine and grapefruit. Flavor is similar, with a decent malk backbone and caramel. Excellent beer.
