Commercial Description:
This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

pours out a reddish orange color with lots of hoppy peices floating in the bottom of it. not near like laconner dh, but still, a good amount. poured into my newly acquired st bernardus glass :) little to no head on this beer. smell is hoppy, grapefruity and piney like most ipas. taste is sweet and hoppy. this is a pretty good ipa and a typical of a CA ipa. not bad at all, i like it. very smooth and easy drinking.

Six pack on vacation out West. Dark, aggressive, american style IPA - more bittering hops and less aromatic - maybe close to a Hop Devil?

On Tap @ Dutch Goose: nice floral and evergreen hop nose; rich, earthy, malty, background well supported by modest hopping; creamy, moderately full bodied mouthfeel; quite drinkable and complex; this would be a great summer fishing day brew, and is my new favorite everyday IPA.

Pours a hazy orange with a thin off white head. Has mild aroma not as hoppy as most IPA’s, but there is some along with fruit, citrus and cream soda. Flavor is very well balanced with a smooth and creamy palate and notes of hops, malts, floral, fruit and pine. Over all an excellent IPA.

Pours a nice amber color. Aroma is sweet citrus hops with notes of honey and pineapple. It a very clean and crisp and loaded with nice hop flavor. It has a slightly bitter but fading finish.

(07.23.06) 12 oz brown bottle from DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. Hoppy aroma. Poured clear copper with small white head. Soft carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and hoppy flavor. Finished dry with light hop bitterness. Well-balanced with edge toward hoppiness. A refreshing drinkable hoppy beer.

Pours rich golden with good carbonation. Aroma is intense hops with fruity and floral bouquet. Initial flavor is very balanced, with the hops eventually overpowering the rich malt. Finishes with a lingering bitterness, but overall is VERY smooth for an IPA.

12oz bottle. Clear golden color with light red hue. Thin white head. Nice malt and pine hop aroma. Nearly balanced mix of malts and hops. Some mild caramel malts give way to piney hop bitterness that run up the flavor. This beer isn’t too hoppy but just about right for a standard IPA.
