| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2006 Pours a hazy orange with a thin off white head. Has mild aroma not as hoppy as most IPA’s, but there is some along with fruit, citrus and cream soda. Flavor is very well balanced with a smooth and creamy palate and notes of
hops, malts, floral, fruit and pine.
Over all an excellent IPA. Hawksfan17 (718), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

It a very clean and crisp and loaded with nice hop flavor. It has a slightly bitter but fading finish. paulmetzger (152), Pocatello, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Pours rich golden with good carbonation. Aroma is intense hops with fruity and floral bouquet. Initial flavor is very balanced, with the hops eventually overpowering the rich malt. Finishes with a lingering bitterness, but overall is VERY smooth for an IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 5, 2006 12oz bottle. Clear golden color with light red hue. Thin white head. Nice malt and pine hop aroma. Nearly balanced mix of malts and hops. Some mild caramel malts give way to piney hop bitterness that run up the flavor. This beer isn’t too hoppy but just about right for a standard IPA. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 17, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Very strong, piney, hoppy aroma made concerned I was about to be hit over the head with a bunch of hops. I was pleasantly surprised how well balanced the flavor was. Nice malt background, with piney, grapefruity hops in the foreground. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Looks fizzy in the glass, but nice level of carbonation. Really liked the whole balance and composition of this brew, which is saying a lot, since I’m not a big IPA fan. joeneugs (371), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 11, 2009 Pours an amber color with a huge beige head with great retention. Very fresh, grapefruity aroma with an orange, grapefruit flavor and solid bitterness at the end. Its really a great, tasty IPA, but it lacks the stylishness and balance to put it at the very top of the list. On the West Coast, however, its hard to find a better value at between 15-18 bucks per 12 pack. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Pours a nice amber color with a silky white head that leaves moderate lacing. Nice fresh hopped aroma. The hops carry through in the taste nicely with a good bitterness towards the end. Nice crisp taste. Slightly acidic taste afterward, but still a nice brew.
