I kind of like the fact that it’s not a near 7% abv ipa. emacgee (1884), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The nose was very resinous and hoppy, sweet, citrusy, lightly piny and earthy, spicy, mandarin orange. The flavor is mostly earthy herbal hops, lightly citrusy, some pink grapefruit. The mouthfeel could have been more substantial. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2006 12oz bottle. Aroma: Citrusy hops with a bit of lemon and orange, Medium malt sweetness with some light graininess and a bit of caramel. A light touch of green apple. Appearance: Light copper in color and clear. Off-white head was full and rocky with nice retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Semi-sweet malt up front with a touch of caramel. Big grapefruit and some pine resin, followed by another hit of malt that leads into the finish. Medium-high bitterness is well balanced and refreshing. Palate: Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Overall: A great IPA that I wish I could find closer to home. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

22 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a semi-clear amber with an average sized head. Nose is lemon, orange and floral hops. Taste the same with some grapefruit and pine in the finish/aftertaste. Body is medium. Carbonation average. An above average IPA.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2007 Had this a few days ago so I can’t provide a very detailed description. It was fresh tasting and pleasant for an IPA. Not overtly bitter or hoppy.. just about right. I really enjoyed this one. Another great session brew from Lagunitas... i’m beginning to really love this brewery. mlist55 (210), media, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2007 Solid IPA. More balance than many. Not as strongly hopped as some, so make of that what you will. Nice citrus tart flavor in there. Have had better, but this is very enjoyable,

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Orangeish amber pour with foamy offwhite head. Slightly subdued subtly sweet caramel, malt smell with a bigger note of hops come together and give it almost a candy like smell. Not quite the hop bomb in the nose I expected, but it’s different, and nice still. Taste gives a candy like malt sweetness, and some hops, but not very aggressively so. I’d say its a mild IPA bitterness wise, and this is unique, very drinkable and a great IPA that I’d have again. beerinmarch (2800), Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Pours a nice amber color with a silky white head that leaves moderate lacing. Nice fresh hopped aroma. The hops carry through in the taste nicely with a good bitterness towards the end. Nice crisp taste. Slightly acidic taste afterward, but still a nice brew.
