| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Bottle: Good west coast IPA. Lots of bitter citrus and grapefruit hops in the aroma. Cascade hops dominate the taste, nice and citrus/grapefruity yet crisp taste. The caramel malt provides a consistent base to the high levels of hops. Not amazing, but a very solid example of this style. highibus (445), Mill Creek, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Pours a completely clear light amber color with a thick creamy head of 3 fingers. Aroma of spicy hop. Really nice aroma. Flavor is typical of a west coast IPA. Spicy, pungent yet crisp. I haven’t had a standard ipa in awhile. Something seems a little off, but that could just be me. A nice IPA. I might have to revist again in the future. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2005 Color is hazy, ethereal orange, with a 3/4 inch diminishing off-white head, small bead and some lacing. Aromas are orange citrus, white bread, and a walnut/almond nuttiness. Upon tasting, a floral hop quality, sourdough, and some soapy alcohol notes make up the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is thick and somewhat creamy, with a strong hop bite and a fading, effervescent hop/malt finish. Overall, a decent, complex IPA. Maybe not as assertive and hop-dense as the big boys, but a must-have on any comprehensive tasting to show off flavor and palate. DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2005 Pours amber with a thin white head and little lacing. Smells really neat like bitter cherries and some hops to the smell as well. Tastes a littler bitter and hoppy moderately bitter/long aftertaste but a fairly unimpressive flavor, lagunitas maximus is better. Palate fairly unimpressive but not bad. Decent IPA but nothing special. Schultsc (486), Henderson, Nevada, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Dark orange-bronze color with a thin head. Light fruity maly aroma with some citrus hops. Very fruity flavor--almost a hint of peach tea--with a very subdued hops edge and some nice creeping hops bitterness in the finish. Fairly full-bodied and well-balanced but lacks real crispness. djd07 (755), Houston, Texas, USA

The aroma is very citrusy with hints of grass. Nice lacing on this one and a very sweet taste with a smooth finish. A great IPA.
