Nice hoppy flavor but could be more. Malts are not well balanced against the hops. Nuffield (2725), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2002 I split a large bottle of this with my mother-in-law, and since she is a pretty cool mother-in-law, she really liked this. Without being too careful in pouring, it produced a huge head. The aroma was interesting--I thought it had a martini or Gin & Tonic-like aroma, plus something fruity--someone else has said mango, and that may be right. The flavor is well...IPA...you know...hoppy, somewhat (but not overpoweringly) bitter. Not complex, but nice. Padron4KM (403), Chandler, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2005 12 oz bottle. Pours out clear amber, with a fluffy, two finger tan head that lasts and lasts. When it finaly does start to recede, it leaves rings of sticky lace.
Aroma is sweet malt up front, with some grapefruit and orange oil as it warms.
Flavor is lightly malty, around some citrusy hops.
Finish is mildly bitter.
Nicely balanced, will definately buy again. howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2003 Poured a dark burnt orange color with a lot of yeasty sediment and a very frothy head that lasted the whole beer. A slight citrus aroma with hops over-riding. A bitter hop flavor and some malts. A good full mouthfeel. Great amount of carbonation. Nice overall. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2003 Gorgeous orange-amber color with thick white head and nice lacing. Nice sweet malts and balancing hops. Full bodied and lightly carbonated. Good IPA Dogbrick (2901), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2003 From Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. Not a bad IPA at all. Pours a murky golden amber color with a thick off-white head. The foamy head lasted quite a while. Nice lacing as well. Floral hops aroma. Flavor is very citrusy, and the hops are really not as bold as the glass progresses. Nicely bitter finish. Doesn't have the "snap you with a wet towel" hops that the great IPAs have but otherwise this beer is just fine.
