The appearance was amberish in color very nice initial head and great lacing, true to the style. The aroma was full of piney, floral, and citrus hops. The flavor was firstly hoppy yet also supported by a significant malty base, light caramel, perhaps an earthy or herbal note underneath it all. Full mouthfeel for the style, finishing with a firm gritty bitterness that was very enjoyable. Ratings bumped significantly from my original 3.2. Original rating: Maybe these IPA’s aren’t so good while cutting grass in the winter, as the temperature doesn’t get to where it needs to be. Either way, the pour was boring, amber-ish orange with no head at all and little lacing, The aroma was hoppy, but not offensively piney hoppy. The flavor was typical of an IPA, not much special, but smooth and lacking citrus and fruit accents. Mouthfeel was average, maybe a little thing for the style. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Pours a pretty nice copper color with a white head with pretty nice retention. Smell is of caramel and sticky pine sap, floralness as it warms. Pine sap taste in the beginning, a little bit of biscuit in there as well. Hops are definately the lead role, piney, resinous, some citrus too. High carbonation, medium bodied. This is not the best IPA I’ve had, but it’s a damn solid one, of which I could see myself drinking plenty of. mgmike4 (29), valencia, California, USA

This was recommended to me b the guys at Willow Bend Liquors in Lutz, FL. Compared to the Dogfish varieties 60/90. An incredible IPA with a fresh and perfectly intense hoppy taste balanced by malts. This is smooth and refreshing. An incredibly good IPA if not one of the best on the market. Dunk (35), SoCal, USA

This beer is a classic left coast IPA with clean hops coming through the nose with nice malt right through the middle - some friuty undertones supporting. Clean crisp bitterness on the finish as a trus IPA should be! mgermani (867), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Pours a brilliant orange-gold, with a lovely but short-loved head and nice lacing. Aroma is biscuity and lightly perfumey. Taste is surprisingly restrained; not as hoppy as o had expected, but still quite pleasant and balanced. Good carb, lightly creamy body. A nice light treat!
