kimcgolf (677), Dacula, Georgia, USA Apr 26, 2008 Updated: Nov 29, 2008 Had on tap at McCray’s. Poured to a yellowish gold color, unlike the orange copper I was expecting. The anticipated citrusy nose and flavor were there, but slightly muted, as was the bitterness of the mouthfeel. This all led to a medium length, slightly bitter flavor which was nice and smooth. Not a bad beer at all, but still below other Lagunitas offerings.
daknole (1131), Plantation, Florida, USA Dec 2, 2008 Bottle from total wine. Copper pour. Small white head. Hoppy aroma to say the least. Spicy and citrus notes stand out. Flavor kicks your taste buds with some pretty bitter hops. Decent malt backbone. Not bad, but a tad bitter for my preference. DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Nov 30, 2008 (10/26/08) Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil in Brooklyn. Clear amber color with a bit of white foam. Aroma of floral hops. Sweetish flavor with some malt and bready notes at first and afterwards nice refreshing bitter hops with a bit of citric notes. A nice quaffable IPA. rugbydude05 (193), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 12 oz bottle, pours a clear copper color with minimal head. Aroma is very intense and hoppy with a distinct fresh floral quality. Taste is overwhelmingly bitter as advertised but is also balanced out by a bit of sweetness. Palate is kind of rough given the bitterness but is very satisfying. Good option. Beardface (259), Eugene, Oregon, USA Nov 27, 2008 Huge ass hop flavor, though not nearly as much so as my beloved Maximus. Nice copper colored pour with a decent white head that sticks around and a nice bitter hop conclusion. Solid amount of malt in the finish that stays out of the way enough to keep me happy. saxo (2435), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, hops, flowers and fruits.
