Almost clear golden orange colour, small white head. The flavour is very clean with a good, noticeable bitterness and ending on a fruity note with a hint of yeast. Goes down very well. Not heavy in spite of ABV. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Bigger than a typical IPA, on its way towards IIPA. Very nice, big nose, fresh hops, resny, citrusy, and a slightly biscuity sweetness. Delicious and refreshing. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Poured a clear fizzy yellow with a fizzy white head. Nice aroma greets you up front with notes of earthy pine and grassy hops with a bit of citrusy grapefruit rind. Flavor is bitter and complex with notes of lemon and grapefruit citrus with big notes of earthy pine with some grass. Not a whole lot of sweetness here, but a good amount of bitterness and hop complexity. A fresh-tasting hop profile, though without a lot of malt sweetness to add additional complexity... even knowing that this style typically does not call for heavy body, this one could stand a bit. It also has a bit of a thin body for this flavor. I’m enjoying the hops here, but its rather light feel makes me think this would be better served in a 12 ounce bottle rather than this 22. Not quite as enjoyable as Freak Out, but a good IPA. saxo (3674), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2008 Bomber. Pours a light cloudy deep draw golden with a wired shiny cobwebby spotty head and minimal lace. Aroma is stale citrus hops- grassy, and light toffeee toasty malts. Flavor is on the light side with some grassy and citrus hops upfront with light malts, some tingly metallic hints and a fading finihs that leaves nothing behind. Medium bitterness with a very light tartness sensed on the lips. I seemed to like this a bit better when fresh, so I guess this one fades real fast in the bottle. Ill bump it up a couple pts since I really did like this fresh more than tonight (slightly stale). 1FastSTi (2588), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

The beer pours to a clean shiny lightly orange hued golden body with a medium white head that mostly dissipates. The aroma is a definite pleasure. Rich mango, nectarines, grapefruit, and oranges. A true west coast IPA. Vibrant and fruity. The flavor is quite nice and very unique. A blend of resiny pine, grapefruit, oranges, and sweet juicy malts. Kind of disappointing that I didn’t open this beer earlier! I figured it would just be another IPA. Bitter but not harsh at all. Finishes clean with only a slight lingering bitterness. Nice!
