Taste is citrus and pine hops without much malt to balance. Overall, above average but lacking the balance to make it really good. alexanderj (2279), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kleyland; poured a clear gold color with a medium white head. Aroma was very good; citrus, pine, and hone; sticky sweet. Flavor didn’t quite match up to the aroma. Agree with the previous rate; finish was more dry than bitter. Some bittersweet flavors throughout; however the malt backing was almost nonexistent. Was drinkable and the palate was pretty good, but with the amount of quality IPAs out there, this one was a little bit of a disappointment. beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Very nice aroma of citrusy and resinous hops. The flavor is milder than the aroma, the hops don’t feel sharp and there’s not much malt presence, the finish is more dry than bitter.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 22oz bomber. Pours a lovely, somewhat hazy, deep gold with orange highlights and a thick off-white head. The aroma is an awesome combo of citrus and fruity hops and sweet malts. There are notes of tropical fruits and pine in there, too. The flavor follows the aroma - a nice level of malts that makes the overall flavor sweet with hints of honey, but with a big dose of american hops to balance it out. The flavor starts bittersweet with notes of citrus and pine. The middle of the tongue picks up a strong, resiny, and somewhat funky grapefruit note that is still well balanced by sweet crystal malts (funky does not mean bad, but interesting). The finish is citrusy, hoppy, bitter, somewhat dry, and still sweet. The alcohol content is well hidden in this brew. The mouthfeel is lovely with an even, medium body and a perfect level of carbonation that provides a crisp but creamy elegance. Overall, I thought this was an absolutely fantastic American IPA. beerking99 (199), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Very slightly hazy, medium gold, with a big rocky head that lasts as a 1/4 inch cap to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is huge citrus hops, with some pine notes. Very clean. Flavor is big hops up front (citrus and pine again), but with some malt backbone behind it. Finish is a bit dry, with lots more citrus hops. Finishes very clean. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 22 oz. glass glass bottle- color of honey gold, with a off white colored head - nose of citrus, hops, caramel, earthy, and alcohol – taste of resin, grapefruit, earthy, and dry - body is chewy, and with low to medium carbonation – aftertaste of resin, tobacco, and citrus georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice deep yellow with a 1/2 inch white head. The aroma, although at first not sure what it was, wafted up to my nose from the pour was hops, hops and flowers of hops. The taste was hoppy if not a little bitter. There was some sweetness that hit the back of the mouth. It was light, full bodied, and refreshing.
