Oct 21, 2007 Sampled at the Newtown Brewfest 07 with Stegosaurus. Gold pour with real good hop aroma with a hint of malt. The blend was really nice as it went down very smooth. Dry finish and quite enjoyable. Glad to see this company still going strong.

Oct 20, 2007 First rating in a long time... I’m not sure why this one called to me. Anyway, back to the review.
Aroma is *all* hops. Nice, citric hops. Did I mention hops? Yeah, so there’s hops in there. Damn nice hops.
Appearance is a pale amber with a light head, but it did leave a nice lace down the glass.
Flavor is definitely high-alpha hops, I’m thinking Cascade. I’m going to cherish this as it appears it’s gonna be a while before breweries make one-offs like this again, sadly. It loses points simply because it needs a little more balance; it lacks something sweet to bring it back.
Palate is crisp and on for the style. Overall, it’s just a bit one-dimensional, stated by a certifiable hop-head. And I gotta say, you never sense the high-alcohol content. Until, that is, the beer is gone.

Oct 20, 2007 Pretty tasty for an IPA. Nice citrus-hop flavor. Very drinkable, but pretty mono-dimensional. Grapefruit. I’d drink again.

Oct 19, 2007 For whatever reason, this beer really blew me away. It’s a quite nice blond IPA, with super-citrus hop aroma and a very deep hop flavor (grapefruit with hints of tangerine). Super tasty. Bitterness is appropriate for an IPA, nicely bitter yet much smoother bitterness than most. Overall, an awesome brew. 22oz bottle.

Oct 19, 2007 Slightly hazy straw-colored body, thin off-white head. Citrusy, crisp hops aroma, backed by bready malt. Acidic. Crisp body, with toast and grapefruity hops. Medium-bodied, bitter finish, rather plain. Good IPA, but lacks complexity and flair.

Oct 19, 2007 Bottle: Pours a completely transparent bright gold color with a smaller white head. Aroma is rich of citrus hops, grapefruit, and overall is very bright. Taste is crisp with lots of floral and citrus hoppiness, nice malty backbone.

Oct 18, 2007 22 oz bottle. Clear apple juice with a puffy beige cap that blankets the sides as it recedes. Fresh orange zest, honey and peppery pine. Almost medium body, resiny, but carb is barely perceptible. Odd. Tastes like pineapple slices out of the can with the same metallic tang. Sharp grapefruit peel lingers on. I was lucky enough to see Zappa twice and quite simply the man was a musical magician. This one’s for Frank!

Oct 18, 2007 The aroma is fantastic with a bouquet of hops that range from floral to citrusy and piney. The appearance is amber gold with a foamy head. The flavor is malty with tons of hops that thankfully don’t overpower. The palate is good for the style. Overall a very nice beer!
