22oz bottle. The pour was not what i expected! Clear golden color, white froathy head. Good lacing. WOW! Resin city, aromatrocious, grapefruit, pine, and a bag a weed. Flavor is mostly caramel malts. Long hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Not what I expected... Like most Lagunitas’ beers.

Clear copper with a smallish white head. Sweet nose with orange, pine resin, grapefruit, caramel. Rather light flavor; musty, dry, bitter.

slightly cloudy golden color with a medium white head....floral pine aroma with some sweet citrus/grapefruit...great aroma...great bitter pine start...good cabination and a crisp finish..slightly bitter swwet aftertaste....thicker mouthfeel than I expected picked this one for my 100th rated beer, I couldn’t resist Zappa on the bottle and I enjoy everything I’ve had from the brewer...makes me want to become a dental floss tycoon

back in the day, I always appreciated Zappa. wish I could say the same for this IPA. aroma was of fresh cut grass, flavor seemed a muddled mess of hops and malt with nothing standing out. thanks to illini08 for the 22 oz. bottle.

22oz bottle. Aroma: Light bready maltiness with a touch of caramel. Big citrus hoppiness with some pine and resin following close behind. Appearance: Dark gold/amber in color and slightly hazed. Off-white head was full and foamy with good retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Light cereal maltiness with some light sweet caramel notes. Citrus and resin, pine and grass. Medium-high bitterness lingered for quite awhile. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: A beer in the typical Lagunitas vein. Hoppy, light caramel maltiness, lingering bitterness. Rinse and repeat.

Foamy-frothy head. Bright gold with lacey rings. Light body; lively carbonation; crisp mouthfeel. Malts were light but nice. Flavors were toasty and fresh, with a pinch of caramel sweetness. Hops were bright and snappy. Bitter citrus (grapefruit) seemed to stand out the most. Sharp, aromatic flowers produced a stark bitterness that lingered. Earthy-musty flavors lingered in the aftertaste. Overall, I found this beer a little understated in some areas and a little too blunt/harsh in other areas. There were some nice things going on, but there was some clashing going on, too.
