| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2007 THOUGHTS: Not much different from the other Lagunitas beers I’ve tried. Not bad, but no that much different. Not balanced enough. It could use a little more malt in the flavor. Smelled better than it tasted because the malt is more evident in the aroma.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light amber with an average-sized, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was moderately malty and heavily hoppy (pine and orange citrus hops). The initial flavor was light to moderate sweetness and light bitterness, while the finish was light to moderate sweetness and heavy bitterness with a long duration. There was some malt sweetness that was quickly overpowered by orange and pine hops. The medium body was dry with soft carbonation and a metallic finish. blklab2007 (974), Connecticut, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Updated: Nov 26, 2007Appearance: Pours a clear, copper body with a small, fizzy white head.
Smell: Perfumy aroma of wet, leafy hops with notes of sugar-crusted grapefruit.
Taste: Light maltiness upfront, with a taste of toasted grains and only a hint of sweetness. Strong grapefruit rind flavor. Plenty of bitterness, but never too much to stray far from the light malt base. Finishes dry, with a lightly lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s a decent brew that walks the line between IPA and Double IPA. Suttree (2740), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Poured a beautiful golden color with ruby notes into the tulip. There was a huge, thick, fluffy white head, and sticky lacing. The scent was soapy with some floral and citrus notes coming through. An excellent coating mouthfeel for an IPA. Hops are balanced with some sweet malt. Good finish, nice IPA. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Bottle (22oz). Clear gold, very large lasting frothy-fizzy white head. Pretty in-your-face resin/pine/lemon zest hop aroma, some light acidic UK hop character in behind, hints of pineapple, plenty of sweet malt - since I love this style, smells good to me. The taste is acidic-hoppy, less malty, longer bitter tart-fruit finish. Think, slightly sticky mouthfeel, nice carbonation/acidity, fairly long medium-alcohol finish. Good - not great, but well done. I’d have it again.
