Oct 12, 2007 Fresh flavor is predominant n, with a fasirly dry finish. This beer is pretty good, though the finish is a bit thin. Nothing special.

Oct 12, 2007 Pours a clear copper with lots of bubbles. The white head has great uneven lacing all over the glass. Very floral aroma, hint of pine and some weed. Very flavorful, grapefruit, woody notes, some apricot, long bitter finish sticks around for a long time. Nice complexity! Love the mouthfeel. Not one of those insanely thick and sweet kind of IPAs. This is just what I was looking for. Call me crazy but I love it.

Oct 12, 2007 22oz. bomber. Clear golden color with a small white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Fruity, hoppy aroma of grapefruit, apricot and some pine. Flavor is grapefruit pith, light pine, some green tea and a bit of caramel malt. A bit more of a malt presence would have been nice, but it was still very enjoyable.
Somewhat over carbonated, which took a bit away from the mouthfeel.

Oct 12, 2007 POurs golden in color and huge notes of weed on the nose and the palate. It was like being back stage at the Zappa Show. A nice finish which shows the heavy hops. warning, will give you the munchies.

Oct 12, 2007 Wow I coulda sworn I tasted fresh weed in this beer. The aroma and flavor reeked of it. Looked good, but very blah tasting. Weed hops and pine.

Oct 12, 2007 Poured a golden color out of the bottle. Small white head. Smell was fairly subdued, some apples and piney hops. Taste was lots of apples as well, sweet sugary malt in the distance, upfront hop finish. Not a bad IPA by any stretch, but I just couldn’t get into this one. Seemed quite thin and reminded me a lot of apple juice (with lots of hops).

Oct 12, 2007 Bottle. Clear gold-amber, nice white head. Aroma is hop-forward, some sweet malt background. Nice floral, citrus hop flavors, crystal malt is well done. Very nice IPA, a fitting brew for the intended tribute.
