Yellow, clear. This is a very smooth and not very bitter IPA. Texture was quite dry. yobdoog (1523), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Malts and hops on taste, not too complex, easy to drink. Taste some raisins and caramel but light. Nice Frank Zappa dedication. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2007 22oz - Aroma nice and floral. Hops are strong citrus and followed by a nice bready malt. Pours transparent gold with a small bubbley head and good lacing. Flavor is not as intense as aroma but is still a full flavored match. Palate is slightly tart and creamy. A very nice IPA. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bought it because the picture of Frank. Maybe that’s the way to sell beer: Put a hip celebrity on it. Worked for me with Brother Thelonious, too. Anyway, I was surprised by this. It didn’t advertise as an IPA, but one whiff of the strong fruity hop aroma (apricots, flowers, and citrus), and I had no doubt. Great aroma. Pours a copper-orange color with a tall, fluffy white head. Very bitter hops on the tongue and the finish. The hop taste is not as intense as its aroma, but the flavors of apricot, pine hops, and floral hops are very present. On the whole, I think Stone IPA or Dogfish 60 or 90 have better hop/malt balance, stronger, hop bitterness, while finishing cleaner. But this was a very nice brew. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Interesting theme. Nice fruity hop aroma. Flavor is full of hop but with enough malt to balance it. Aftertaste is grapefruit. Creamy mouth feel. This IPA is somewhat on the sweet side and is a very well crafted beer. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Good sized head in my challice from a somewhat vigorous pour. Frothy on top with light carbonation. Succulent citrus hops. The aroma makes the mouth salivate. Orange and pineapple abound with some light honey and malt. Fantastic aroma. Very fruity! Color is a bright orange. Quite the bitter flavor. Lots more citrus (lemon and pineapple) but is lacking in malt body. A little unbalanced. Needs more sweetness to offset the strong bitterness. Finishes dry, bitter and tangy. A very good IPA but could use more body and balance. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Copper color and clear, started with a decent head. Lovely citrusy hoppy smel that arouses and teases the nose. Taste does not disappoint wither with a pleasant hop bitterness.

Nose of fresh crisp cascades and sweet fresh baked biscuits. The flavor is chewy, malty, nice resinous malty flavor. Sweet and floral, nice IPA, plenty of hop. Light malt balanced and nothing too over the top.
