Poured a clear amber with a half-finger white head which lingered as the bubbles continued to rise for awhile. Sweet hop smell with some bitterness which did linger at the finish. Taste was citrus but not near as intense as say Stone IPA. Although the alcohol was well hidden I did notice it after I had finished this. Rather smooth for an IPA. Very drinkable. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Pours a lager yellow gold, crisp and clear with a frothy head minimizing to bubbly islands and intricate lacing. Nose smacks of dryhopping: massive resiny tangy grapefruits give way to lemon zest on the tongue, creamy mouthfeel, and the slightest attempt at balance towards the well bittered finish in the form of slight malt sweetness. Pretty good IPA, nice unique hop character without being overwhelmingly bitter. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Are we running out of beer names with so many selections out there? I’m not giving points for a name. Had this at the Vintage Estates Octoberfest Beer Tasting Festival. Yes it is IPA. Smells and looks like it too. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance with a somewhat creamy head. Olfactory of spruce pine. Decent carbonation for an IPA. Taste is as usual for this style; bitter, chewing on grapefruit rind impressions. Overall a good example of the style, rude and offensive. Just plain mouth puckering bitter hop yucky. Medicinal lasting bitter taste hangs after the session for quite a while. Glass of water please. damienv10 (108), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Lucid orange gold with a frothy head and good lacing. The nose is all fresh vibrant floral hops and maybe some bubble gum and raspberry too, great nose. Medium light weight on the palate but very crisp. Light malt flavors don’t really kick in til the hops take effect. I still get a slight but very fresh sour raspberry. The beer is very dry throughout. While the hops are definitely present, they never fully bloom with the presence that most great IPAs have. If you like IPAs with lighter floral hops you should really dig this brew, very easy to drink. railcat1 (582), Orlando, Florida, USA

Very nice gold-to-copper pour with a modest head and lively carbonation. Certainly there’s some fine citrus and pine bitterness here, but the crisp flavor recalls a fine British IPA a bit more than a West Coast hop explosion. That’s all to the good and makes it fairly refreshing. Awesome label too. ChazMania (415), Pasadena, California, USA
