| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 22, 2007 Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head that vanishes quickly. The hop aroma could bring Zappa back from the grave! It is like a dry juniper bush on a hot, 100 degree, Boise summer day. I also picked up on some ripe, fresh apricots. The taste is exactly what you would expect from my notes on the aroma. Because of the fruity notes, it isn’t as harsh as you would expect, but very well made and a refreshing IPA all around. The higher alcohol % is hidden well. Thanks Indiana_Red! IndianaRed (1561), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2007 Bottle pours a clear light yellow orange. Medium sized off-white head and spotty lacing. Lots of bright sharp aromas of orange zest and flowery hops. Flavor is light moderate malts, and plenty of IBUs. Decent hop flavor and plenty bitter. A bit papery on the trailer and a fairly light palatte. Surprized to see it at nearly 8%
Very nice for a middle weight IPA.
