Sep 20, 2007 Bottle from BevMo. Pours a medium golden color. Aroma is fairly sweet and quite hoppy. A mixture of sticky pine and citrus. Flavor is quite hoppy, without being extremely bitter. More of a balanced hop profile throughout. Dry spicy hop finish.

Sep 19, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white body and descent lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Flavor of bitter hops and caramel.

Sep 19, 2007 Clear medium golden with big head. Nug hop aroma is very inviting. Taste follows through with hops that finish quite bitter. Lots of grapefruit in the taste. The malt never quite evens it out, but it’s not too unbalanced. I love me some hops, and this delivers without being too overbearing.

Sep 19, 2007 Bright amber color with a rocky white head. Intense grapefruit malt aroma. Sharp, bittersweet malt flavor finishes strong with a resin hoppiness. Lots of flavor and complexity. Gotta love the name, too!

Sep 19, 2007 goden appearance with some hints of red. the beer has a solid white head and is rather transparent. strong hoppy nose. the flavor intially is of hops then a little malt balance takes way and then back to more hops and an alcohol finish that provides some complexity. overall a very drinkable ipa that hides the 7.8% abv pretty well. a very nice ipa, not necessarily overwelming in hoppyness but makes up for it in its balance. i preferred the other zappa pale by lagunitas a little more

Apparence: La couleur est blonde. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’agrumes et de résineux. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût.
