| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium off white head and minimal lacing. The aroma has caramel malt and more importantly, a nice collection of hop scents such as pine, citrus, and grass. The flavor was representative of the aroma. More caramel and toffee maltiness with the same hop profile. I liked this, but found myself wanting a little more and not getting it. Medium bodied with no real sign of the alcohol. scottw86 (182), Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2008 Poured a dark brown/red with a thin off-white head. Aromas of fruit punch malts and some hops. Taste had more hops than the aroma hinted at. A light Carmel malt undertone makes for a nice balance. Floral and grapefruit notes also present. Finish was nice and smooth. Great! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Dark red pour with a big ol white head. Big hop smell with some dried fruit detectable as well. Flavor is huge on the hops with a solid malt backing and some dried grape flavor as well. Insanely hoppy and tasty, love this one on tap especially but it is great out of the bottle as well. glennmastrange (857), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt and hop aromas of cookie and orange, light dough for the yeast, with date, toffee and licorice in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, off-white with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery but a little slick and has a lively carbonation. It finishes dry. A very well rounded American Strong in aroma, but a little light on flavors. Let this one warm a bit before you drink it. RIXbeer (102), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Pours a thin and light amber red with a 2" eggshell colored head. The suds fade into a thin 1/4" layer leaving behind a lot of it stuck to the sides of the glass. Aromas of hops and caramel malt with a hint of some sort of grape-like fruit. Big [MONDO] hops kick in with a nice punch just as the first sip of malt dies down into the throat. It has a nice smoothness but isn’t as balanced as the aroma. It has more hops than any other Red Lager I have ever had. Not a bad thing, just unexpected. Nice sticky mouthfeel but has a great malt flavor that fits in perfect with the change of the seasons from summer to fall here in Boston! Very easy to drink! A good pick up! I think this is a good beer to have a few of and kick back with the fellas... daknole (2941), Plantation, Florida, USA

Aromas of caramel, hops, dried fruit and some candy sugar. Flavor is very nice. The hops and malt combine to make a very nice tasting brew. Caramel, malt, sweet floral hops are all done very well in this beer. onecrazybreeze (21), , Colorado, USA
