Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

pours deep amber with a light fluffy off-white head. aromas of honey, pine, citrus, and tons of malt and caramel. taste is a busload of hops: spruce, citrus, floral, spicy, you name it. moreso the pine/ spruce hoppiness. decent malt backing with slight honey. long, bitter pine finish. dear lord, do i love lagunitas.

Reddish amber color. The glass arrived full, so there wasn’t a lot of head present, however as I drank the beer a nice coating of lacing remained all the way down. Nicely aromatic with fresh hops and some sweetness. Taste was a great balance between hop freshness and malty sweetness. The higher ABV was hidden very well. Smooth and creamy going down. Reminded me very much of Terrapin’s Big Hoppy Monster. Exceptionally drinkable and highly recommended.

Slight hazy copper with average tan head. Wonderful aroma of sweet caramel. Wow, big bitter astringent bite that kind of took me back, a dry feel, solid bitter burn all the way down.

22 oz bottle. Rosy tinted clear brown with light beige froth. Nose is red currants, caramel and a touch of yellow raisin. Medium light with zingy carb. Taste is grenadine, caramel, red licorice and spruce. Sweet and tasty.

22 oz. bottle poured into a trappist glass has a caramel red amber color with an initial off white head that fell quickly to a thin coating. aroma has sweet malt, light flowers, and underlying hops. when the bottle first opened it seemed there was more hops to it but then they faded. mouth feel is medium with lower end carbonation. flavor is bold on the malts, caramel, thick and chewy. hops are there trying to poke through but just get pushed aside by the malt. biting bitterness comes through and it finishes drying with an odd lingering flavor.

Aroma of those west coast hops, with some fine underlying malt too, copper, small tan head. Flavour is a hit of orange/pine, quite malty, to my liking, medium bodied, tangy, full bitterness. Very good.
