Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a big and fluffy tan head. Some caramel maltiness in the aroma, but it leans more toward some floral hoppiness. Grapefruits and pine show through as it warms. Medium-bodied. Nice balance taste-wise. Caramel maltiness and a hint of cocoa upfront. Ample hops show through at the end with a solidly bitter finish that features just a touch of warming alcohol.

The label is wrong, this is not a mongo large red ale. It is a American Strong Ale. It is also "west coast" in style. Strong hoppy nose, lovely color, smallish head after resting, beautiful lacing, a bit heavy on the finishing hopping, but a great find , and delightfully inexpensive compared to others of similar quality.

Clear dark amber colored with a medium white foamy head and good lacing. Floral and grassy aromas, citrus, pine, maybe some melon, and caramel. Tastes like citrus and pine with a good balance among sweet malts, bitter hops and alcohol. Round beer. A strong bitter earthy finish.

Poured a clear, copper color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, caramel malts, citrus, toast, and toffee. Taste of citrus, pine, tobacco, nuts, and grapefruit, with a fair amount of alcohol.

(bottle): Pours a very red body, clearish. Small tannish head. Grapefruity, nutty aroma. Grapefruity malty taste. Somewhat balanced. A little too piney.

Pours a dark golden color, leaves a nice cobweb lace. Hops, fruity and yeasty aromas are prevelant. Sharp bites of hops hit the palate. Yet is smooth and creamy. Has a strong alcohol finish on the back of the throat. Has also an intriging balance of dry and sweet. Anice quaffer.

A hoppy, amber, red, strong, ale. Fairly full malt giving a full mouthfeel along with bitter hops to balance. A tasty, strong brew.

22oz. bottle. Orval chalice. Pours deep orange color. Fresh, grassy dry hops all over a sticky sweet malt base. Plenty of character and assertive flavor. Alcohol over 8%. This is a big beer with a big hop presence, nice balance, very tasty.
