Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

Pours dark amber with off white head. Aromas of pine and some citrus. Sweet flavor with lots of hop bitterness (in a good way) backed up by toasted malt. Medium body with average carboniation. Another good brew from Lagunitas.

Poured a deep amber almost red with a thick foamy yellowish head. The aroma was citrusy grapefruit with a lot of hops. Had a thick full mouthfeel. On the first sip the hops are less at the front than the aroma would lead you to believe, although they are still very strong. The beer gets more bitter as it warms.

Bottle as shown. Pours a dark amber color with medium frothy light tan head. The aroma is a rich hop with sugar and citrus notes. Very good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a rich malt with a hoppy finish. A very good American Strong Ale from Lagunitas.

Reddish amber color. The glass arrived full, so there wasn’t a lot of head present, however as I drank the beer a nice coating of lacing remained all the way down. Nicely aromatic with fresh hops and some sweetness. Taste was a great balance between hop freshness and malty sweetness. The higher ABV was hidden very well. Smooth and creamy going down. Reminded me very much of Terrapin’s Big Hoppy Monster. Exceptionally drinkable and highly recommended.

Bottle.
Pours a rich amber with a nice head of offwhite. Aroma is malty pine with orange. Flavor is a tangy grapefruit with a sour orange offset. Nice mouthfeel. Not bad, but too malty for me.

Great beer. Pours a beautiful reddish brown color that looks like it is bleeding when the light hits it. Head is medium sized, off white and soapy and has green highlights and great lacing. Nose is toasted malt and lots of hops and some citrus notes. Taste is pretty sweet with lots of caramel, toast, grapefruit and malt. Tastes a bit dry too, maybe some dry hopping. Yum.

Fiery copper color with a light tan head, great lacing. Nice aroma is a bit boozy with caramel malt and piney hops, also a whiff of oxidation. Medium body. Decent taste mirrors the smell with sweet malts and piney hops. Not too bad.
