Jun 13, 2008 650 ml. Orange-dark copper with a three-finger lasting head. Aroma is pine-citrus, slight caramel, and occasional iron. Flavor is earthy citrus, molasses, bitter wood and resin, slight cocoa and toasted pecan. Medium body leans to smooth, finishes dry, and has some hop tingle on the tongue. A good beer that seems a bit one-dimensional and hop-harsh at times, but at $4.25 (in Atlanta) this bomber is a much better value than most, so an extra tenth on the "overall" point for that.

Jun 13, 2008 Bomber. Nice red/amber color as it glugged into my chilled pint glass. Small head that faded quickly. Aroma of malt and some spice. The flavor reminds me of their imperial red but its been awhile since I have had the red, so I may be wrong. A very good beer and I would love to have another and another and....

Jun 12, 2008 On tap and in bottles everywhere these days in Portland...and I love it!--Pours a rich amber body. Thick, dark, yet glowing sienna and crimson-ish. Nice thick white head. Piquant, spicy, bitter, malty, lush nose. Invitingly fruity and bold. Full-bodied might be an understatement. This beer rocks the bitter bombastic beast inside of this hophead.. Scrumdiddiliuptious, cuzzin!

Jun 11, 2008 Served cold from 22 oz. bottle. Pours a delicious amber/auburn color with a one-finger off-white head. Aroma includes hints of citrus, sweet malts, maybe even a hint of mango in the scent? Something definitely fruity about it. Medium bodied, flavor of malts and a touch of hop bitterness, but definitely not overwhelming. A very nice strong ale!

Jun 11, 2008 Rating #800! Pours a beautiful red copper color. Has a great 1" head that slowly turns a bit of a carbonated cream head. Nose of crisp apples, somewhat sweet malts and some good hop spices as well. Reminds me of a softer DIPA. Taste is mighty fine...with a great load of hops and a nice malty backbone to hold it up. Creamy, but not full...just perfect for what I like. Finish has that pithy citrus finish like some DIPAs as well. Very nice.

Jun 10, 2008 Pours a nice rich copper color. Thin head that leaves some fine lacing on the glass. Aroma is hops, sweet, and some spice. Hoppy up front, but mellows very quickly into a wonderfully pleasant bitter ending.

Jun 10, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a good size foamy white head. Lots of roasty caramel malt in the arome, with a touch of spicy hops. Flavor is more of the same. Slightly bitter at first, and smoothing out. Not bad at all.

Jun 9, 2008 Probably the best American Strong Ale I have had. If anyone out there knows of a better one let me know. Love the label and the beer inside is quite tasty.
