Commercial Description:
From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first space to this oasis 13 years on the road; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers. The Esteemed brewer of California's best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet's only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon's Rebel Brewer from Newport. Thirteen years down the road, we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero's path ourselves, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to have left our footprints on its path into history, at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering. Beer Speaks. People Mumble! O.G. 1.085 76.92 IBU

Nice reddish color with a sweet aroma. Stong hoppy taste mixed in with some carmel-y and sweetness.

Comments: Straightforward biscuity, very sweet, caramelly American ale overloaded with crystal malt sugars and clashing hops. Full-on bitterness, salty and mineral finish. Been there, done that.

Clear amber colour with an off white head. Quite hoppy and pineapple fruity aroma on a caramel sweet background. Malty, caramel sweet flavor with notes of hops and alcohol.

Nice looking beer with off-white, frothy head atop a dark amber body. Moderate malty nose with notes of caramel and toast. Hop aroma of grapefruit and resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Moderately acidic, especially in the finish which also leaves a slight taste of rubber. Medium body is slightly syrupy in texture. Moderate carbonation. Warming alcohol.

22 oz. bottle. Rating #1313. Sturday, somewhat cloudy amber color under a thick, tannish IPA style head in my shaker. Smell of sweet malts wafts with a nose of pine and floral hops. Taste starts as an IPA with extra Vienna malt. Light caramel sweetness, but crisp, not stcky. Hops tickle all parts of the tongue: again floral and spicy, plus some earthiness and pine. Cozy alcohol warming actually a respite from all the big beers I’ve had over the weekend. Chunks of foam lace the sides of the glass. Great texture, light bitter aftertaste to please hopheads.

22 oz. bottle from Gregis, shared with a friend. Pour is a ruby, amber with a tannish 1/2 inch head. Aroma of bitter citrus rinds, sweetish malt and a touch of earthiness. Taste is better balanced than I was expecting from the nose. Great hop brightness and bitterness throughout, with a nice caramel nut malt backbone. This is a big beer, certainly, but the malt and hop are all nicely balanced. Nice beer, thanks Greg!

Draft @ Mugs Anniversary. Bigger than I remember. Lots of hops. Aroma and taste. Some sweet some bitter. Some citrus some pine. Very well balanced. Creamy translucent pour. Love imperial pints.
