Perm (141), Tryon, North Carolina, USA Jun 2, 2008 Interestingly good. (Or goodly interesting?)
Appearance: Like a dark bourbon with head
Aroma: Hops (Cascade? Mt. Hood?), bitter tobacco
Taste: Earthy! hops, leather, tobacco, strong alcohol notes -- almost whisky-like.
Palate: Nice and spritzy.
Overall: Don’t know if I’d commit to buying a 4-or 6-pack of this, but I would definitely revisit it, given the opportunity. Nice.
Serving type: bottle

The glass arrived full, so there wasn’t a lot of head present, however as I drank the beer a nice coating of lacing remained all the way down.
Nicely aromatic with fresh hops and some sweetness.
Taste was a great balance between hop freshness and malty sweetness. The higher ABV was hidden very well.
Smooth and creamy going down. Reminded me very much of Terrapin’s Big Hoppy Monster.
Exceptionally drinkable and highly recommended.
HungTuna (3), Seattle, Washington, USA does not count Oct 8, 2008 Suprisingly nice flavors with a malty backbone. Scarlet and Copper tweener.
