Real alcohol heat felt, almost immediately after taking that first sip. Not bad, but not up to snuff from this brewer. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Clear medium reddish amber, nice initial head fades away slowly and completely. Aroma is malt accented, caramel, with mostly earthy hops lurking in the background. Very faint citrus and alcohol. Flavor is also malt oriented, caramel with cola notes. Faint earthiness and citric hops on a slightly bitter finish. Alcohol stands out just a touch here. Maybe a bit bready. Not a bad beer, but this just didn’t do much for me. The flavors weren’t particularly integrated, nor were they "exciting." Touch of a carbonic bite as well. I preferred the Kill Ugly Radio so far in this series. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 11, 2008 I didn’t drink a ton of this, so my rating is from the couple of ounces I did have. but, I couldn’t imagine drinking too much of it. Aroma was hugely sweet, I wondered where the hops were. Taste was big sweet malt, slightly spicy, big bready taste. While there was a decent hop profile, it didn’t seem to balance the sweetness very well, this beer was a mess. I can’t imagine that Frank Zappa is to pleased with the tribute series so far. hombrepalo (773), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 11, 2008 22 OZ BOMBER! yuck. not that good at all. Aroma is of sweet malts and some spices. Poured dirty brown with some head. Taste is nutty and spicy with malts and hints of carmel. Really had a hard time drinking this one. illidurit (889), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Poured into a nonic. Deep mahogany color with good clarity. Head is dense and leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is like a ramped up brown ale. Lots of sweet malt, with a touch of spice and even some floral hops. Taste is sweet and chewy. Huge brown sugar malt profile with a bitter finish reminiscent of burnt caramel and hops. Body is very thick and chewy, with an appropriate level of carbonation. It really surprised me how drinkable and well balanced this beer was considering the brewery that made it. Another pretty good offering in the Zappa series. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 10, 2008 22 oz bottle. THis beer pours a dark copper color. Medium white head, which quickly dissipates. Flavor is hoppy with a great deal of dark fruits. It was fine, but nothing to call home about. "Kill Ugly Radio" was better. beisen (90), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Pours dark copper with small head. Mild wheat aroma. Flavor is bready with some hops. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Decent, if not all that memorable. raiderfost (158), virginia beach, Virginia, USA
