| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Most of the time I have this it is just a little over the top. Not sure if a clean palate would help or hurt it. A lot of hops, pine and citrus and a big malt presence with all the alcohol. Maybe it is just resinous for me and too sticky. Pretty good overall. saxo (3603), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers and citrus. Some caramel and malt as well. Very good balance. Rynoplasty (533), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Aroma is of nice citrusy slightly piny hops. Flavor is big bittersweet citrusy hops with a big lasting finish and a little bit of malt to balance it out. Very good. Pinball (2862), Allerød, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 23, 2009 approx 0.65 litres bottle, according to my google translation of ancient measuring system used on bottle ;-).
lovely deep orange with a smooth thick yellow/light orange head.
pleasantly mild hoppy aroma, somewhere between pine/grape and yellow fruits. some malts and some salt can also be detected.
flavor is very malty, very hoppy, quite dry (comes almost as an acid note), salt licorice. both malt and hops are powerfull. the balance is okay. quite sweet brew. i like it a lot. good DIPA, one of the sweeter ones. i’ve tasted. nickd717 (1348), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with a nice off-white one-finger head and decent retention. Aroma is really piney with sweet caramel malt also noticeable. Flavor is very sweet malt up front and citrusy hop bitterness. Think I had an old bottle because hops had faded a little bit. Nice medium palate with hop oils and a dry finish. Above average for the style. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2009 bottle.
Pours a bright, clear light copper color, half inch of tight off white head that sticks around and leaves plenty of lace. Aroma of light, crisp grapefruit and sweet oranges. Flavor starts with sharp grainy bitterness, sharp lemons and grapefruit, some pine needles. Not much malt or sweetness to speak of- some thin grainy sweetness in the background that stays there. Palate is even and full, lightly crisp and dry finish. Solid DIPA, though would be helped by some more depth to the hop character. jdmaher58 (22), Dover, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Awesome beer. Hoppy but sweet, much better tha the Pils from lagunitas, just a really good IPA. Alchol flavor is very present for a 7.5 abv beer. smooth and very tasty nonetheless. Highly recommended. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Gold/orange pour with light white head and lace. Aroma of light citrus and evergreen. Flavor is more citrus with a semi sweet malt kicker. Abv hidden really well at 7.5. Nice lingering medium/hard bitter. Well balance. Just not a lot of hops in the nose for me but a very good beer.
